Birthday Countdown
Wow, I can't believe it's almost here! Fisher's birthday, that is. Of course I still don't know when it will be, but his due date is less than three weeks away. I am both anxious to hold him in my arms and hesitant to let him go. A mother's love is like that whether there is a farewell at birth or a farewell as a child sets off to take on adult responsibilities. The urge to protect and care for a child is hard to resist. I know there is no need to fear for his protection. He'll be going to a far safer place. It doesn't mean I won't miss him though.

Oh Anna, I am so happy that you will soon get to hold Fisher in your arms and then at the same time, my heart aches for you as you prepare to face the this new chapter in your life. I well up with tears just thinking about it and wish I could help in some small way. Please let me know if there is ANYTHING at all that I can do. What a blessing it is to have the gospel in our lives and the knowledge that we will see him again...What better hands to leave him in...xoxo
ReplyDeleteStephanie Cook says you are an amazing woman and mother. She can just tell by the things you write and by the conversations with your children. She loves you and is praying for you. Steph read your blog again on Monday and has been thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteI ditto everything Steph said... :)
Dear cousin Anna and Family:
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that you were expecting a baby.
I had no idea of precious Fisher's situation.
I had no idea that you had miscarriages. I have had seven miscarriages, and it was difficult. I miss Dad who went to Heaven almost six years ago.
I was eight months bed rest to keep the pregnancy of my last three daughters. I love each of my five daughters,my son-in-law and my precious grandson and granddaughter, they are such a blessing.
My precious Deanna who is 20 years old has generalized epilepsy and I worry when she has her seizures. She is such a strength to me and others when she is racing her ultra bicycle races. She is one of the most precious people I know.
I am so grateful that you sent the photos of Fisher's ultrasound, I love him. He is very precious and is a wonderful spirit. I too am so grateful that "Families Can Be Forever!" I love you and your family. We will pray for you all!
Love,
Your cousin, Debbie (Rippey) Adams
Thank you so much for your support Debbie! I am so glad to have you for a cousin. I am sorry to learn about the struggles you've had with your own pregnancies.
